Humility or low self-esteem?

There's a friend of mine that I'm constantly arguing with. She claims she's humble, I say she just has really low self-esteem.
She believes that successful black men do not date black women. I don't know which world she lives in when men like Will Smith, Denzel Washington and Barack Obama are all married to black women
She believes that girls like her cannot get guys of a certain level. Bear in mind, she's one of the prettiest friends I have, has a degree in architecture. Nice long hair and she's slim.
She believes that the guys she likes will never like her because there's always a better girl in their lives.
And all this, she claims, is because she's humble and does not wish to be proud and think more highly of herself.
I think she just has low self-esteem. There's a thin line between humility and low self-esteem.
